On August 27-29, 2004, I participated in a spiritual retreat at the Serra Retreat Center in Malibu, Calif. The Center is run by the Fransican Order of the Catholic Church and it's named after Father Junipero Serra, the founder of the California mission system. Serra Retreat helps people move forward with their spiritual lives, and help individuals embody the motto of Junipero Serra, "Always move forward; never turn back."
